Possessed Appearance Faceclaim:: Judal - magi the labyrinth of magic Height:: 5’ 8” Weight:: 139lbs Special Features:: An ankh symbol looks like it has been tattooed on his upper chest in black ink. This is actually the sign of his contract and looks like a faded tattoo, almost like something worn by the wind. This mark is small and usually covered by his top. Full Appearance:: Looking at physical appearance alone Shu is relatively normal. His skin in an average shade that varies between tan and pale depending on the light. His face sports a pair of deep red eyes but is otherwise normal. Body wise he is on the thin side but noticeably toned. About average in height for his age his weight is much less than that of an average nineteen year old. This is in part due to his natural body makeup and in part due to his bonding with the Bennu Onouris. This lack of weight could be considered a problem because of what it entails but Shu makes the most of the benefits. Now the most noticeable feature of Shu’s body is easily his hair. Starting with a mess of black hair Shu has bangs that frame his face and drop down between his eyes to his nose. While being messy his hair also has a vaguely feathery appearance, at least the mess on his head does. The most interesting feature of Shu’s hair is the ponytail that is nearly the length of his body. Not cutting his hair since he was very young Shu decided to tie his hair in a ponytail to keep it more manageable and make him look slightly less feminine. It also looks like a scorpion tail due to how it is tied. Now onto the clothing! Shu tends to stand out due to his choice in clothing and how revealing it is. Wanting to keep an Egyptian feel to his wardrobe he sticks to the same style of clothing regardless of occasion. For pants he wears a black pair of baggy pants that could be considered gypsy pants. Shoes and socks are completely forgotten as he prefers to walk around barefoot. This helps him be more agile at the cost of protection for his feet. As for shirts, he doesn’t wear any. He does wear a black top that resembles a very small shirt but could hardly be considered one. His top serves the purpose of covering the mark of his contract but very little else. The edges of his top are surrounded by a golden border but otherwise unadorned. Over his top he wears a white silk scarf for no other purpose than decoration. With his style of dress most of Shu’s body is exposed, most notably his midriff. Despite many people asking him to wear more appropriate clothing he sticks to his chosen attire. The last feature to Shu’s appearance is his jewelry. Shu loves jewelry but does not like the idea of bringing unneeded harm upon his body, so that rules out any piercings. Instead he wears golden bracelets that look like many golden rings on both his arms. The bracelets extend from his wrist to about halfway to his elbow. He also wears the same style of jewelry around his neck. With the same golden ring style his neck wear differs from his bracelets only by the ruby imbedded in the center. The ruby takes op the entire center of the jewelry and brightly rest over his throat. When making use of the Bennu’s power Shu changes very little physically. He tends to curl his toes in like they were talons but no such change happens. One of the most noticeable changes Shu makes is the enlargement of his pupils. Around his body the air seems to be warmer and moving but that is the extent of his changes. Attitude Full Personality:: The thing about Shu is that he believes himself to be a pharaoh, and acts as such. Put simply he thinks he is better than everyone else and is the most important person alive. Shu isn’t one to go around flaunting this however and may come across as an average uninterested person. If someone does not interest him he will ignore them as if they were insects. If said insect were to anger him however he would not hesitate to squash them. Towards people he dislikes he can be quite cruel and merciless, appearing generally evil. Getting on his bad side is strongly advised against. Now let’s look at the opposite end of the spectrum! Shu is not naturally antagonistic and will gladly befriend people who catch his interest. This for the most part consist of people who can help him rise to the greatness he aspires to. However this may also be for people that he just enjoys being around. Shu is childish and only cares about becoming a pharaoh and having fun. His concept of fun however can range from belittling people, starting conflicts, flirting, or just swinging in the park. However Shu has a tendency to enjoy pissing people off to the point of violence, and then just prancing away laughing. Loving attention in any form Shu may seem gullible due to how he will generally agree with most ideas given to him, this is a lie. Shu is smart, adaptable, and manipulative. He may agree to any random idea he hears but it probably benefits him somehow or he knows he can switch it in his favor easily. Get in his way and he will remove you. As rash as he may seem when doing so this is mainly due to the confidence he has in his powers and himself to be victorious. Believing himself to be a god-king Shu will not hesitate to expand his power. This is doable by gaining reputation, followers, or power. Being as noticeable as he is attention is easy enough for him to get. Followers are not always easily gatherable but those that he can get he will protect as his property. And power is all dependent on the Bennu inside of him and the power it gives him. Overall Shu is the person you will benefit most from if he is on your side instead of working against you. Likes::

Hobbies::Manipulating people, fighting, winning, getting attention. Occupation:: Student Notes of Interest:: Creature: Bennu named Onouris. Abilities:Due to the contract with Onouris Shu has gained the ability to manipulate wind. When he does so the wind becomes visible due to a dark purple hint, like the color of Onouris’s feathers. Also the wind he manipulates always is heated upon use, like it is the air in a desert or from a fire. • Gust- Shu can control the wind with his body as if he was pushing it. A wave of his hand or a kick of his leg can send a gust of wind at a target. These are rather weak, hardly able to move anyone of decent weight, but still pack a bit of force. But beware toddlers and anorexic people! • Air cutter-Focusing on the air more Shu can contract it into a crescent blade of wind. Thin as it may be the blade is able to cut through up to metal leveled materials, however this varies with the thickness. Cutting through a metal pipe or a stone statue is no problem but he can’t cleave a building in half. • Light weight- Like how birds have hollow bones to grant them flight Shu’s bones have weakened after forming his contract. Not exactly hollow they are lighter and more fragile than normal humans. This does lessen his durability but adds to his speed and jumping ability. Apep- A five inch golden wand Shu carries around. The top is formed into a point and is sharpened to knife like sharpness. Able to easily break skin Shu can also throw it and give it a burst of wind to add to the lethality. Parkour- Due to his body type and abilities Shu is quite skilled in parkour. Climbing and jumping are easy enough for him and he loves high places.. History Full History:: First rays of the sun Shu was born the second child of a happy family. His brother being two years older than him wasn’t too old to relate to him. His mother worked on South Isle and his father was an archeologist who specialized in Egyptology. Living in South Isle Shu’s family would take trips to Egypt to help on digs or just for the trip. Shu loved these trips and was always excited when he got to help his father during them. Egypt mythology fascinated and seemed to attract him to it. Reading the stories of creation, the gods, and the pharaohs were some of his favorite pastimes as a child. As he got older things continued as they had been. A sibling rivalry began to develop between him and his brother, mainly for the attention of his parents. Shu as the younger child got more attention at first but his brother used this as motivation to work harder. His efforts paid off and their parents began to show him more of their attention. Things only got worse as they grew older until Shu felt like he was given none of his parent’s attention, and that simply would not do. Shu started acting out in order to get the attention he needed and in his mind deserved. At the age of seventeen things would change Shu, for better or worse is a matter of perspective. Many secrets rest under the sand It started as a simple family trip to Egypt. Shu was excited as usual and his brother showed noticeably less enthusiasm. Shu wasn’t too fond of the premise of the trip though, a special trip before his brother headed off to college. Nothing he could do about that though and Shu was taking the best out of it. Soon his brother would be gone and he could get all of their parent’s attention! It was simply a waiting game now, one that Shu very well could win. Arriving at the site they spent most of the day excavating the ruins of a temple with varied results. As night fell everyone went to sleep exhausted from the day’s work. Shu however did not pass out like the others and decided to explore the ruins on his own. Having their campsite close to the ruins Shu just headed over and entered the site. Thoughts of getting lost or killed never crossed his mind with the thoughts of glory so prominent. Wandering around for about an hour he did get lost in the ruins but that was how he found it, the throne room. A large room stocked with gold and luxuries with a large throne at the end. Of course the first thing he did was sit on the throne and survey the area as if he was the pharaoh. While doing so his attention was drawn to a glint of gold refracting the light from a hole in the roof. Rushing over he picked up the object to see what it was. Hard to see in the darkness Shu grabbed it and would just take it back with him, the first treasure of the excavation. Everything went well until he found the entrance, and the giant bird statue guarding it. It was menacing but just a statue so it only stopped him for a moment. The moment Shu stepped outside a fierce wind whipped up around him. The cry of a bird pierced his ears and nearly brought him to the ground. Looking behind him he saw a pair of red eyes staring back at his own. He had just enough time to duck before a mass of black launched out of the ruins. Turning to face the creature Shu was staring at a large black bird with noticeably long legs and a long beak. From what he remembered the creature resembled an ibis though much darker. The red eyes drilled into him and almost seemed like they contained a fire inside them. Shu stood up but the bird was still nearly two feet taller than him. Scared to move any further Shu stood and waited to see what happened next. After a moment the bird opened its beak and spoke. The voice was somewhat high pitched and slightly shrill but distinguishably male. Stranger still than the giant talking bird from the ruins was that the voice seemed to be inside of his head. Who are you to defile the place of kings? At first Shu was too shocked to respond but slowly things started to click. He had heard a few rumors about people meeting strange creatures and forming a contract or something, maybe this was one of them? Suddenly confident Shu smirked and answered the bird. “Names Shu Anhur, what’s it to you?” The bird reeled back as if the insolence caused it physical pain. Glaring at Shu with a rather annoyed look it responded. I am Onouris, guardian of this temple! I have served the greatest of pharaohs through the ages! Return what you have stolen and leave mortal! Shu flinched at the words but remained sturdy, he was winning this. Staring at Onouris he kept the smirk on his face. “How about I make you an offer? I keep this and free you from being stuck here. All you have to do is form a contract with me.” Onouris seemed confused but did think over the proposal laid before him. Give me proof of your devotion! Why should I bother to forge a contract when I could just as easily kill you where you stand? Shu had prepared for this and lifted the wand in his hand. Quickly he stabbed himself in the chest just deep enough to draw blood. Eyes still on Onouris he spoke without hesitation. “I’m the best you’re going to find willing to free you. Others would just steal from the ruins and be off. If you tried to stop them they would kill you. Join me and return to your former greatness.” Onouris looked impressed, or as impressed as a large bird could look. Raising his wings he sent a breeze over Shu’s body before answering with a softer voice. I only will join with the best. “I know.” The two formed a contract and Onouris disappeared inside Shu’s body. From the point that Shu had stabbed himself a black ankh formed as a symbol of their contract. At first nothing happened besides Shu feeling dizzy and weak. Pocketing the wand he slowly walked back to his family as the air around him began to heat up. Gust of wind spun around Shu until he was practically at the center of his own tornado. Reaching his family he opened the door to the cabin they were staying at. At once sandy wind ripped inside blowing everything around and waking everyone up. Seeing Shu at the center of the sandstorm they were all shocked. Shu simply looked at his brother and grinned. “I’m more special than you.” Words of victory out of the way Shu dropped to the floor and the winds instantly died. An uneasy silence fell over the area as Shu’s family struggled to understand what exactly had happened. Believing it to be a curse from the temple they returned to South Isle in hopes that distancing Shu from the ruins would make him better. Shu was sick with a fever for about a week before his body adjusted to the presence of Onouris. After recovering he learned that he had lost weight and was more easily injured, but he didn’t care. During his ‘sickness’ Onouris had explained how the contract would affect him so the changes did not come as a surprise. Shu was more interested in the powers he gained from the contract and could care less about the consequences. Shu also underwent another change after forging the contract with Onouris. Already being self-confident and even a bit egotistical before the contract Shu had these traits magnified. As far as he was concerned he was the pharaoh and deserved to be worshiped as such. He had an ancient creature inside of him so why shouldn’t he? Onouris also helped Shu reach this mentality as a prideful servant of pharaohs in the past. Of course being able to manipulate the wind was a nice perk to the whole deal. Too bad the increased frequency of contracts was making the use of these abilities punishable. As school started Shu was forced to act like a relatively normal student for the most part. His wardrobe had changed from common student clothes to more Egyptian styled outfits. Everything started fine enough but things hardly stay that way. People found out that Shu had formed a contract and he instantly became a target. One day he was approached by another student who had joined with a creature and challenged to a fight in order to show off their power. Shu declined stating it to be a waste of his time but the other boy didn’t like that. Calling on the power of his beast the boy threw a punch at him with enhanced strength. Shu was faster than the brute and dodged, resulting in the destruction of the table he had been sitting on. Pulling the wand out of his pocket he slashed the boy across the chest and blasted him with a blast of wind. At this point a teacher approached them and confronted them for using their powers for fighting. The boy was expelled but Shu managed to convince the teacher to only get him suspended as he wasn’t the one who started the fight. This suspension lasted the rest of the year and because of it Shu failed to graduate. At first this bothered him but he quickly got over it. Another year in school was no big loss and it gave him more time to plot out his future. Now Shu was determined to make himself pharaoh no matter the cost.
