It was a pleasant day. There wasn't a single cloud in the bright blue sky and even the sun's rays only seemed to be a warm caress on the skin rather than burning. Many had flocked out to the park to enjoy the weather, but those with the Sight would have been greeted with a rather strange scene...
There, attached to one of the larger trees, was the dark form of a cat-boy clinging to the trunk of the tree. Satoshi's tail twitched as he use his claws to dig into the bark of the tree, preventing him from slipping down. With determination, he climbed steadily higher, his eyes fixed on a certain prize. A single white ribbon tangled up in the branches of the tree. He finally managed to drag himself level with said branch of the tree, his golden eyes dark as he tried to figure out a way to pounce on his target. The branches were simply too thin to support Satoshi’s body weight, as slight as he was. He would never make it to the ribbon before they would give way. However... he narrowed his eyes in thought, he could try using using that form.
He smiled lazily, gathering up his powers for a transformation. There was a blur as he leapt from the trunk, his shape changing midway so that the moment his feet touched the branch, he was no longer human Satoshi. The black kitten which had taken his place mewled, golden eyes glowing brightly as he steadily made his way across the precariously swaying branches. One he had reached the ribbon, he delicately took it between his teeth, tugging at it until it came loose. The bell on his collar tinkled as a gust of wind swept by, Satoshi making a startled sound as he dug his claws into the branch, trying to keep his balance. He looked down and the ground suddenly seemed so far away, his instincts screaming at him to stay put as his perch continued to move beneath him. He mewed loudly and frantically in distress, clinging on for the dear of life. Words: 354 Tags: open Notes: rawwwr.

Alice was currently up in a tree in the park. She had been there since the previous night, when she had been in a fight. I know this is a huge surprise, but Alice Ruth Kind did indeed get into a brawl last night. She had burnt herself out not long after, and rather than try to get all the way home, she climbed up one of those things in the park with all of the leaves and branches and things. Once she had climbed the tree and found a comfy branch, Alice had in fact spent the night there. She wasn't the kind of person to roll around much in her sleep, nor was she entirely picky about where she slept. Not to mention, Alice felt very at home up high in a tree, so the combo was good.
The next day, Alice awoke with the rising sun, feeling its rays give life and power and blah, blah, blah. She stretched, saw that it was five in the morning, and promptly fell back asleep. Because fuck waking up at five a.m. on a Saturday. It was about six hours later, when there were people arriving at the park for early lunches and picnics, when Alice once again woke. She observed the people on dates, families hanging out together and playing croquet, children hosting birthday parties complete with bouncing houses. Alice mused that she'd have to get out of this tree eventually, but that was not right now, and she was quite content, if hungry.
It wasn't long after this when Alice noticed a boy-cat-thing climbing the tree she was nestled in. Granted, Alice was quite a ways up and hidden from most of the people in the park, but this kid was clearly after something. While Alice couldn't quite make out what he was going after, he seemed like he was fairly determined to get it. She blinked as the boy turned into a cat, and then she spotted the object of its affections- a white ribbon tangled onto the branch. He seemed to get it, and you'd think he'd be fine, but for some reason the kitten started mewling in distress. Ah, the whole kitten in a tree thing. Alice turned back over and was about to ignore the kitten, when something in her head stopped her.
But Alice, look at him! He's so scared! Go rescue him. Azar was pouting fiercely in Alice's head, and it was really quite annoying. I don't particularly care if he's cute, I just want some peace. B-but... He's so cuuuute~ Alice knew that if she didn't do something, Azar would never shut up. So, for a few minutes at least, she let her grinch-sized heart grow some. Alice climbed down the tree a bit towards the branch where the kitten sat, and reached out to it. "Come on, I know you're not just a normal kitten. So come over here. Please." Alice spoke a bit gruffly, but she was soft and kind.
